About the role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Drafter / Junior Designer to join their in-house design and production team. An excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to grow in a company that values precision, craftsmanship and hands-on mentorship.
You will work closely with the design and production teams to translate concepts into accurate technical drawings, support the fabrication process, and ensure every project is executed to the company’s exacting standards.

Responsibilities
- Assist in developing basic design concepts and layouts based on client requirements and senior designers' direction.
- Prepare mood boards, material selections and presentation materials.
- Collaborate with the design team to refine ideas into workable, buildable solutions.
- Produce accurate technical and shop drawings using AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Create 3D models using SketchUp or 3D Studio Max to visualise designs and carpentry details.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, site measurements and company standards.
- Revise drawings based on feedback from senior designers, project managers and site conditions.
- Brief workers and carpenters on work scope, design intent and carpentry details, translating design drawings into clear, actionable instructions for the workshop team.
- Address drawing-related queries during fabrication or installation, and coordinate with the production team to ensure design accuracy and quality control.
- Attend occasional client meetings to support senior staff, help present design ideas and clarify technical details. Site visits may be required, with transportation claims provided.
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Proficiency in SketchUp or 3D Studio Max for 3D modelling.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design plans.
- Good communication skills to liaise with workers, carpenters and team members.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Preferred — diploma or certificate in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting or a related field.
- Preferred — prior internship or work experience in carpentry, renovation or interior fit-out.
- Preferred — familiarity with Singapore's residential and commercial renovation standards.
What we offer
- Basic salary range of $3,000 – $3,300 per month.
- Working hours 8:30am – 5:30pm, on a 5.5-day work week with alternate Saturdays off.
- Annual leave 7 days, hospitalisation leave 60 days and medical leave 14 days.
- 13th-month bonus.
- Transport claim available for work after 10pm, and transportation claims provided for site visits.
